On the Water

Two paddleboards and a pair of kayaks wait at the dock. Push off as the sun lowers, and let the lake mirror the sky on the way home.
A private wooden dock sits at the water's edge — perfect for easing in and out of the watercraft, stepping into the water, or tying up a boat. Note there is no boat ramp at the property; a free public ramp sits three minutes away for launching and retrieving, with trailer parking on-site. Guests handle and secure their own boats.

The Decks & Glass
Preserve the disappearing effect.
We ask guests to leave the exterior glass uncluttered so the house can keep dissolving into the trees. Indoor-only footwear protects the ceramic floors; outdoor-only footwear keeps the decks pristine.
On the Water
Life jackets, always.
Swimming and kayaking are at your own risk. Life jackets live in the deck storage bench and are worn at all times in the kayaks — a small ritual that protects you and the calm of the canal.
No Glass Near Water
Acrylic, by the lake.
For the safety of guests and local wildlife, glassware stays inside. Acrylic outdoor drinkware is provided so cocktails can travel safely to the dock.
Piers & Access
Mind the natural terrain.
Soft earth, exposed roots, and changing light along the path to the water reward an unhurried pace.
BBQ & Firepit
Three feet from the glass.
Keep the BBQ at least 3 feet from glass walls and railings, and clean the grates after use to avoid attracting wildlife. Never leave the firepit unattended; extinguish completely with water before retiring. Use only the provided firewood — fallen branches are habitat.
Exterior Lighting
A dark sky, on request.
Architectural lighting is on a timer to preserve the lakeside dark-sky experience. For total darkness and stargazing, the manual override switch is by the entryway panel.
